I purchased a set 6 weeks ago, 5-GW, regular flex. I had a set of F9 irons previously with steel shafts. They were ok but the heads felt heavy. These clubs are so much lighter with a smaller head and a more reasonable loft configuration. One of the problems I had with the F(‘s was my avg distance between 8-6 overlapped too much. The gapping on these clubs are more defined. I am using a PRGR monitor and the avg gap is 10 yards. Currently avg SS is 77 with 6 iron, 74 with 9 iron as a reference. I find these irons more forgiving then the F9’s with consistent expected carry for each iron. Based on my swing characteristics I can get a draw from the mid irons. Also bought a 19 degree hybrid for the shoulder seasons in the north west. Overall very pleased with this purchase as this is my last year in the 60’s so was looking for lighter equipment.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
