Cobra LTDx Fairway Wood Review.

Welcome to the Cobra LTDx Fairway wood review.

There are 3 fairway woods released alongside other Clubs in the LTDx lineup by Cobra golf for 2022.

In this review, we’ll look at the performance of the Standard LTDx Fairway wood, touching also on some of the key features and key technologies that go into this club.

This will help you determine if the LTDx fairway wood is a good fit for your game.

Cobra LTDx Fairway Wood Review – Introduction.

The LTDx Fairway wood is on the fairway woods in the LTDx lineup comprising of the LTDx Max Fairway Wood, which obviously the most forgiving of the 3 models, and the LTDx LS Fairway wood which is the low spin version designed for the highly skilled players.

This standard LTDx fairway wood is the ultimate distance Club and is designed for golfers looking for more distance, high ball flight, and straighter shots.

Cobra LTDx Fairway Wood Review – Basic Features/Technologies.

The LTDx Fairway wood features the same technologies as other LTDx models, about 5 key pieces of Technologies

Starting off with the PWR-COR technology which is the multi-material weighting system that allows a substantial amount of weight to be placed deep and forward, combining low-spin and faster ball speeds for enhanced Distance.

Secondly, there is the new H.O.T Face Technology which stands for Highly Optimized Topology. It is basically an Artificial Intelligence computer-designed Variable Thickness design that provides 15 hot zones across an expanded area of the Clubface, essentially expanding the sweetspot.

This Club, the LTDx fairway has an 8 gram fixed back weight that stabilizes the Club and provides forgiveness on mishit, and promotes a higher ball flight.

The LTDx Fairway woods lineup offers progressive Rails throughout their heads, with the 3-Wood providing no rail to provide the sweeping, shallow type of swing, but as you progress through the 5 and 7 woods, the Rails are enhanced to help players get the ball out of a trickish situation and experience better turf interaction and steeper swings.

Finally, there is the new Lightweight Carbon Crown that is a little lighter than titanium and frees up more discretionary, allowing Cobra golf to make the LTDx Fairway with the more optimal CG and a higher MOI which translates to more forgiveness.

Standard Specifications.

There are 3 different clubs in the standard LTDx Fairway model, there are 3 wood, 5 wood, and 7 wood.

The LTDx fairway provides 3 different loft options in the 3, 5, and 7 woods, with each having 8 hosel settings that allow you to adjust and fine-tuned the loft and lie of the Club.

Cobra is using the Project X HZRDUS Smoke IM10 as the standard graphite in regular and stiff flex while the UST Helium Nanacor is the standard stock shaft for Reflex.

The Lamkin Crossline 360 serves as the standards stock grip.

Look.

The LTDx Fairway looks beautiful both in the bag and at address, lust like other fairway wood in the LTDx lineup, with a smooth Matte -Black finish with a rich gold accent.

It has a low profile with a barely wide-body, not much different from the other Fairway woods in the LTDx lineup.

Performance.

Talking about performance, on the Course, the LTDx fairway wood delivers incredibly and shows to be more forgiving than the LS Fairway wood.

Our in-house pro tested out the LTDx Fairway on the rang and on the Course and confirmed an amazing performance, forgiving and more speeds, and added distance.

Forgiveness.

The LTDx Fairway wood is engineered to offer more forgiveness than the LTDx LS model. It has a fixed 8 grams of weight that helps to stabilize the club and provide forgiveness on off-center shots, promoting high ball flight.

Speeds & Distance.

One of the things going well for the entire Clubs in the LTDx lineup is added ball speeds that lead to more Distance.

Our In house pro who tested out the LTDx Fairway confirmed he did pick up added Clubhead speeds swinging the LTDx fairway at 95mph, he got a distance of about 234 yards that roll out to 240 yards.

Overall, the LTDx Fairway wood is designed for added speeds and distance using the PWR-COR Technology and the H.O.T Face designed that produces 15 hot zones on the Clubface, meaning a larger sweetspot, all optimized for more speeds and added distance.

Who Can Play The LTDx Fairway Wood.

So, basically, the LTDx Fairway wood is designed for that player looking for added clubhead speeds and more distance.

This Club is very forgiving, easy to launch, and can be a great choice for improving players, weekend players, and mid-high handicap players.
