Cobra LTDx LS fairway wood Reviews – Introduction.

The LTDx fairway wood is one of the Clubs released for 2022 by Cobra golf.

It is the low spin option of the LTDX fairway options and is designed for the more skilled players.

The 3 wood in the LTDx LS Fairway wears a slightly larger profile and can conveniently serve as a replacement for the driver, while the Tour-shaped 5 wood club allows for workability.

Cobra LTDx LS fairway wood Reviews – Basic Features/Technologies.

Cobra LTDx LS fairway wood features Pwr-Cor Technology-Multi material weighting system that positions a substantial amount of weight low and forwards to combine low spin with faster ball speed for enhanced distance.

HOT Face-Highly Optimized Technology is tuned for more speed using Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning to design 15 HOT Zones. This increases ball speed and smashes factor across an expanded area on the Clubface.

Featuring also is a Lightweight Carbon Crown which is a new lighter carbon crown material that allows weight to be repositioned low and forward in the PWR-COR for more speeds and stability.

Progressive Rails-The 3-Wood features no rails to account for sweeping, shallow swing, while the 5-Wood features a more pronounced rail to enhance turf interaction for steeper swings.

Finally, they’ve got the adjustable Weighting System, which features two weights on the heel and toe,(12g and 3g) with the heavier weight in the heel to promote a draw-biased flight, while the toe promotes fade bias flight.

 

Standard Specification.

This Fairway wood club is available in 2 different loft options, and each can be adjusted to up to 8 different settings.

Cobra is using the MCA Tensei AV Raw 75 graphite shaft in both stiff and extra stiff flex as the standard stock shaft, while the Lamkin Crossline (58R) Black/Silver is the standard stock grip.

As always, you can request a custom-made shaft and grip.

Aesthetically, the LTDx LS Fairway wood has a Matte Black finish that is consistent throughout the entire LTDx lineup, with the crown looking a little cleaner than the standard LTDx Fairway.

 

Performance.

The LTDx LS fairway wood delivers incredible performance on the courses really .

It’s a lower spin fairway wood designed for the more skilled players yet, it offers forgiveness, fastball speeds, more distance, and all that.

Here is how the LTDx LS Fairway wood performs in the area of forgiveness, Speed, and Distance.

 

Forgiveness.

The LTDx LS Fairway wood as a better players club isn’t expected to carry much forgiveness, however, you could still find some help, especially with the 3 wood which obviously is more forgiving than the compact headed 5 wood, which leans more towards workability than forgiveness.

By and large, you might get some level of forgiveness in the LTDx LS Fairway wood, not just at the same level as other models like the standard LTDx Fairway wood or the LTDx Max that offers Extreme forgiveness.
