So, today I want to run a comparison review of two of the most talked-about high-end golf rangefinders, the Garmin Approach Z82 VS Bushnell Pro XE.

Both of these rangefinders are high-end devices designed with powerful optics and deliver incredible displays and are powered by incredible features and technologies.

When the slope functionality is activated, golfers would be to see whether you are up and down the hill of your target hole is located, and the adjustment in the distance. With the available data, you will be able to decide on the right club to deploy and also how to shape your shot properly.

Garmin Approach Z82.

Starting off with the size, the Garmin Approach Z82 is a little more compact than the Bushnell Pro XE.

The Garmin Approach Z82 features an App that comes preloaded with over 41,000 world-class golf courses worldwide. This is a major advantage as you can preview the entire map of the course, especially when playing on a new course.

The Bushnell Pro XE has a similar feature but with only 36,000+ Preloaded courses.

There is also the Find The Pin and Lock On the Flag feature called the PinPointer in the Garmin Approach Z82. Essentially, the feature helps you locate the direction of the flag, and is particularly helpful on a blind shot.

Another feature/functionality in the Garmin Approach Z82 that is not found in the Bushnell Pro XE is the 2D course overlay visible through the 6x magnification lens that displays the distance from the front, center, and back of the green.

 

Bushnell Pro XE.

The Bushnell Pros XE is bulkier than the Garmin Approach Z82.

Bushnell Pro XE has a Magnetic cart mount that makes it extremely easy to move around the Course with your device safely mounted to your Golf Court which you can easily reach.

The Garmin Approach Z82 has no such feature.

Also, the advanced slope with the ‘Elements’ feature makes the Bushnell Pro Xe a fan favorite.

Here, Temperature and barometric pressure have been added to deliver a more precise compensated distance.

Bushnell Pro XE also has an App that features about 36,000+ preloaded worldwide courses.

Conclusion.

Conclusively, both the Garmin Approach Z82 and the Bushnell Pro XE are high-end gadgets with upgraded features from their previous models and both deliver incredible results.

From the Features listed here, you could both have several similar features as well as some few features peculiar to each one.

The choice of which one to go for ultimately depends on what you are looking to achieve.

The Bushnell Pro XE, in my opinion, features a more advanced slope compensated technology with Elements to give you more accurate data. it even has a Magnetic cart mount which has become an important feature in modern golf laser rangefinders as it makes it easy to carry your device firmly mounted by the side of your golf Cart.

The Garmin Approach Z82, on the other hand, seems more portable and honestly has more features including a 41,000+ preloaded course layout, and with the aid of an App, you get to see the whole score once is connected to a compactable mobile device.
