Best Golf Clubs For Mid Handicappers

Today’s post is going to be all about the mid-handicap zone and the focus will be more on the best golf clubs for mid-handicappers.

As a mid handicapper, the major struggle is to perfect your swing eliminate as much as possible all errors, and bring down your handicap level.

And to achieve that, more and more practice to be done.

Apart from that, you need to be in the right frame of mind when on the course.

There is nothing worse than a distraction when taking a swing.

After all is said and done, a good and fitting golf club set would go a long way in helping you bring out your best on the golf course.

Talking about golf clubs, could there be clubs designed for players with mid-handicap?

Well, the answer is a resounding yes, there are golf clubs designed to suit players whose handicap level is in the mid-range.

Going forward, let’s look at the handicap system.

I have previously discussed the handicap system in an article posted before, you may want to check it out for a detailed explanation.

Just a summary of what the handicap system is.

What is a Golf Handicap?

So, what exactly is meant by handicap?

Simply put, a handicap is a measurement of a golfer’s potential in numerical form, used to enable them to play against golfers of varying capabilities.

The lower the numbers, the better. For example, a golfer whose handicap level is 15 is said to be better than a golfer with a handicap of 25.

Who is a mid-handicapper?

Going forward, who can be regarded as a mid-handicapper?

Before we continue, here is a post I wrote earlier highlighting 6 awesome golf irons for mid-handicappers. Check it out if all you are looking for is golf irons for mid-handicappers.

So, back to the topic under consideration, who should be regarded as a mid-handicap player?

Well, no straightway rule decided who a mid-handicap player is but generally, any player with a handicap level ranging from 10 down to 20 is in the mid-handicap zone.

So, if your handicap level is anywhere between 10 to 20, you are a mid-handicap player.

A single-digit handicap could be termed a low-level handicap while anywhere between 10 -20 could be regarded as a mid-handicap.

20 -40 can be regarded as a high handicapper.

Purpose Of Handicap in Golf

As stated by the USGA, the simple explanation for the handicap system is to give an equal opportunity to every player to play against anyone based on fairness and equality.

3. Mizuno MP-20 Golf Iron Set Series

This has been regarded as the ‘elite player cavity’ iron according to the information from the manufacturers and absolutely represents a fantastic acquisition.

The Mizuno MP-20 MMC is the second generation of Mizuno’s multi-material concept.

There are other MP-20  irons set like the MP-20, MP-20HMB, and MP-20 SEL, but the MP-20 MMC  is the main deal in my opinion as it offers more forgiveness.

It is forged from 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel, with a Titanium muscle that spreads weight for Forgiveness, exactly what mid-handicap players who desire improvement need.

If you need some elite class-like blades, I suggest you go for the MP-20 MMC as it has amazing features like playability through the Titanium muscle pad, and it’s so throughout the entire set.

The set comes with Components 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW

Pros:

  • Optimized to offer forgiveness
  • Easy to launch and optimized for distance.

Before, I was always using one of the worn out tools of my former golf teacher who dashed me those to help increase my learning rate and also to allow me practise alone. This is really good here

  • I learned something new.  I did not know of the term mid handicapper.  I also did not know this was used so that players could all play together fairly.  I just thought that the better golfers, would of course win.  I used to play golf all the time until I moved to a hot climate where it just make it too humid and hot to play.  This makes me want to play again!

  • Thank you very much for this article. There are many golf courses around where I live. I’ve always wanted to play golf. But the lack of time and the ignorance of the rules of the game and the functions of individual golf clubs, not to mention the handicap, was still postponed by this decision to try this sport. Thanks to your article, I know where to start. Thank you.

We’ve heard the term handicap in golf but didn’t really know what it meant. I definitely learned a lot from your post and will share with my husband. Thanks!
